gc2b Binder

Description

At Smitten we choose to carry gc2b Binders because of their high quality materials and stitching which provides proper and safe compression, the breathability of the products and their resistance to stretching or becoming misshapen.

gc2b Binders are made from a lightweight breathable material, similar to Under Armor, with an additional panel throughout the chest to flatten and compress the chest area without damaging sensitive tissues. These garments are sized and graded for compression purposes so they are designed to fit snug in order to compress and flatten.

When purchasing a binder do not intentionally go down in size; you will not be able to put the binder on. Remember you should be able to breathe without trouble and your binder should not be causing you excessive discomfort or digging into your skin. If you experience any of these issues you probably have the wrong size! If you are in between sizes gc2b encourages you to consider your shoulder measurements; if you have broader shoulders you should go with the larger size.

HOW TO MEASURE

Chest Measurements: Place the measuring tape under your arms and wrap it around your back and chest, take measurements from under your arm and the largest part of your chest. Add the 2 chest measurements (under arms & largest part of chest) together and divide by 2 to get the measurement for the sizing chart.

Tip: We know ya look good, but try not flex or tense up when you are measuring. Make sure you are relaxed and breathing normally for the most accurate and natural reading. Don’t look down at the tape to take your measurement. Find a mirror to view your reading in; looking down may cause the tape to slip.

Under Arm Measurement: The goal here is to find the measurement for the largest part of your chest not including much breast tissue; this is usually above the nipples. Ideally the tape should be just above the beginning of your breast tissue and just below your arm pits.

Largest Part of Chest: The goal here is to get the measurement where the most breast tissue is this is usually across the nipples.

Tip: Always round your number up if your measurement happens to read at any fraction greater than 1/4″. Example: If you measurement reads 36 3/4″, round up to 37″. Do not round down.

Shoulder Width: Place the measuring tape at the point of one of your shoulders. Then stretch the tape to the point of your other shoulder. Don’t wrap the measuring tape all the way around your shoulders for this measurement-just point to point.

Tip: Stand up straight and adjust your posture so that your shoulders aren’t hunched but are still relaxed.

gc2b Binders come in many colors. If you wish to special order a specific color please contact us directly at 204-727-2446 or admin@mysmitten.ca.
