Description
The Rainbow Flag is a symbol for all people who identify under the LGBT2SQ* umbrella. The colors reflect the diversity of the LGBT2SQ* community and each has their own special meaning. The flag was originally created by San Francisco artist Gilbert Baker and made its debut in 1978.
The flag is flown with the red stripe at the top and purple stripe at the bottom. The symbolism of each color is as follows:
– Red: Life
– Orange: Healing
– Yellow: Sunlight
– Green: Nature
– Blue: Serenity
– Purple: Spirit
